Nashville Piano Rescue builds custom stage shells. The biggest advantages to custom shells over a stripped out ex piano is that it will be lighter regardless of whether the iron plate has been removed or not and any width keyboard can be used. In an ex- piano you are limited to keyboards that are 54 inches wide or less.
Our custom shells have a standard keyboard tray width of 60 inches. Uprights are normally 24 inches deep x 44 inches tall by 64.75 wide. We have many different types of upright shells that we build, including regular uprights, double ender uprights ( two player positions) narrow uprights for short keyboards, double stacked keyboard models etc.
We also offer custom grand shells in any length however the keyboard width will always normally be 60 inches as standard, we can make it narrower but we need to know in advance. We also need to know if you want an opening top, Spade or French provincial or some other type of legs, music desk or a functioning electric 3 pedal lyre.
Prices normally don't include shipping rates for the lower 48 states and these rates change daily, There are tariffs involved if shipping to a church or music venue , sometimes if the delivery is within 500 miles we will hand deliver and set up the shells in person to avoid those tariffs for the customer.
We are getting ready to bring out a few more custom shells including 3 types of collapsible uprights and a Harpsichord mini grand style shell for those that want something different.
All shells are paid in full prior to construction via cashiers check only.
