More and More we are getting referrals from various non profit agencies like Goodwill, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity and a variety of Churches etc referring people to us that want to get rid of their pianos. Due to the liability limits and possible damage to housing, injuries considering the average weight of a standard upright is 750 lbs and up, without adequately trained personell and equipment, these agencies dont accept pianos.  More Churches are shying away from acoustic pianos due to repair and tuning costs.

Nashville Piano Rescue is a for profit business.  We have been around for a long time. We do however donate lots of time, free pianos and delivery / tuning which is on my own dime to various Theaters, Schools, Venues, Artists and promote Music Awareness for other groups. Over 150 pianos have been donated to various groups at no charge by me personally since 2009, including free tuning and delivery.

**** New Info on our Free Pick -up Service ****   Due to abuse of the system we are now charging 100.00 to pickup up-right pianos over 51 inches tall.  This is mainly due to going out or driving long distances to find something left out doors or packed with trash. 


I have been getting many calls lately from people wanting tax write off receipts for enormous amounts on pianos we pick up many of which cannot be repaired.  It costs us about 300.00 to come out and pick up your piano, with labor and fuel costs  currently  there is no charge currently to pick these up.  There is however a dump fee minimum of 189.00 if you were to take one to the landfill.

Upon pickup you will be given a receipt so that we can have proof of where the piano came from if we get pulled over and inspected.  We try to save all the pianos that we get and try to get them back into the hands of area aspiring musicians if the instrument is salvageable.

Large Pickups :  We specialize in large quantity pickups, an example of that would be we just went up north to do a pickup of 30 pianos at one location.  The owners of the building were overwhelmed. Local moving companies didn't know how to proceed and were very expensive, so we were there within 48 hours, cleaned the place out within 3 hours at no cost to the building owner.  It basically depends on where you are ( distance) and the ability to get the units out.

It is entirely up to you if you want us to come in and pickup your piano. Our average in and out time is less than 10 minutes, we are specially equipped to do this work and have about 90 years of experience in this scope of work.  We wont damage any part of your house or property and that piano that you are no longer using will be used again if we can fix the issues. 

Estate Sale Pick ups :  We also pickup leftover Estate sale pick ups at no cost to you.  Nashville and surrounding areas. This would be after you had your estate sale and there are items left over that didn't sell.  We will come in and clean out whatever is left at no cost to you. Residential or Commercial.
