This is a Rate Sheet of what we charge to move pianos in the Nashville TN area.   Any Pianos moving across state lines or long distance do not apply for local rates. If you are calling around to ask if we can beat someone else's rate we can save you the time and just say we aren't going to do that.  There is nothing easy about piano moves or the damage / injuries  that can occur by using inexperienced people. We've never had a single claim on any piano move ever, that kind of speaks for itself.

A good rule of thumb to follow when hiring a piano mover if they do not have flat rates  is you want to get someone close to where your final destination is. So they come out , do the move and then are within a few miles of home base.  Telling someone the move is only two miles probably isn't going to save you anything if the company has to drive 100 miles to get to the pickup location.

We cover Nashville TN and surrounding areas, the further we have to go naturally with escalating fuel costs the higher the price will be. 

There is no extra charge for front entry steps up to 6, any difficult moves though as in seriously sloped yards, mud, new construction may be additionally charged

Stair carries depend on piano and stair material, we really want to see the job prior to booking.   Average move costs involving stairs can add 350.00 to 1000.00 depending on qualified labor and other factors. Outside stairwells are very dangerous, make sure your apartment complex is okay with moving a piano up the stairs. I've seen many go straight through the staircases.  The ones to be really careful of are the steel staircases with the concrete slabs for stair treads.  Those can snap without warning and you can fall through it with piano in tow.

Upright piano less than 51 inches tall  :  Stop to stop   150.00

Cabinet Grand upright  Over 51 inches   Stop to Stop   200.00

Grand Piano under 6 feet          Stop to stop  250.00

Above 6 feet   depends on size so call.

*** Local Grand Piano Moves***  We do this the old school way, We remove the lid and action from the piano.  Grand actions need to really be kept in a horizontal position or you are just asking for trouble. We have specially made grand action shipping boxes, it gets pulled and goes in the box.  Most claims from grand piano moves almost always come from damaged lids at the hinge area from leaving them on or out of alignment actions. We haven't had a claim in over 30 years doing it my way.
